The politician uses perceived intellect to survive in the world. He believes he is serving the interests of the people objectively, but in fact is driven by desires and fears. The desire to be a "somebody" and the fear of being recognized for the vacuous mouthpiece that he really is. Only his mouth is functional, because he can no longer recognize any input that hasn't been filtered through his own lies.

Divinatory Meanings: Someone who is active in the world, but in an intellectual way. A person who believes him/herself objective, but is driven by desires or fears.

Reversed - Greater awareness of your own motives. Less intellectual, more instinctive. Can mean suspicion or nervousness.
